WANCRAFT

Introduction

What Wancraft is, who it is for, and how it is built.

What Wancraft is

Wancraft is a workshop of interactive React components — buttons with physical presence, cards that respond to attention, type that moves with intent, and a handful of experiments. There are currently 212 components across 8 categories.

It is not a dependency you install wholesale. Each component is a single, readable TypeScript file that you copy into your project (by hand or with the shadcn CLI) and then own. There is no Wancraft runtime, no provider to wrap your app in, and no version lock.

Who it is for

  • Developers who want memorable interactions without rebuilding spring physics or pointer maths from scratch.
  • Designers and creative coders who want to feel an interaction before specifying it.
  • Indie hackers shipping landing pages and dashboards on a deadline.
  • People building with AI coding assistants — every component can export a structured integration prompt from the Playground.

How it is built

Components are written in TypeScript (strict), styled with Tailwind CSS utility classes, and use motion (Motion for React) only where springs, layout or drag genuinely need it. Several components have no dependencies beyond React.

The file you see in a component's Code tab is the exact file that powers its live preview and the exact file the registry serves. The site reads it from disk at build time — nothing is rewritten for display.
